Load Banks

    Description:

    The AGM SLB-2 DC load-bank subsystem integrates two individual load banks with an IEEE-488 bus interface and local front-panel control in a single 5 1/4" high by 19" wide panel by 18" deep chassis.

    Features:

    • Two Independent load-bank modules in a single unit.  Both load banks programmable at same IEEE-488 address.
    • Up to 400 watts maximum input to each load-bank module. (800 watts per chassis)
    • Inputs may range from 2 to 120 Vdc.  Load current may be as high as 25 A for each module.
    • Load banks may be operated in either constant-current or constant-resistance modes.
    • Input power automatically limited to prevent damage to unit.
    • Front panel keyboard with display for local programming.
      Automatically locked out during remote operation.
    • Separate voltage, current, and power digital meters for each load-bank module on front panel.
    • Relay isolated input lines for each load bank.  Both plus and minus input lines are switched.
    • Constant current or resistance mode, overload, and input replay status indicators for each load-bank module.
    • Readback of current or resistance mode. overload and replay status of each load-bank module over IEEE-488 bus.
    • Microprocessor controlled IEEE-488 interface unit allows for "intelligent interface".  Unit may be customized for special applications.
    • Single command will reprogram both load-bank modules to settings in effect when the power was turned off.
    • Clear and replay control commands can address both modules simultaneously for "gang programming".

Note: Input voltage must be 2 V minimum.  Maximum input voltage is limited to 120 V or value such that input power is not over 400 watts.
